How to switch returns portal workflow?
Switch or toggle between single-item return flow or multi-item return flow
EcoReturns supports two different kinds of workflow - default workflow allows customers to submit one single item at a time, while you can enable the other workflow from the dashboard that allows customers to submit returns/ exchanges of multiple items in one single journey. Depending on your use case, you can choose which workflow or returns portal suits your needs. Follow the steps below to toggle between the workflows.
1. Click on "Returns portal" under the settings. By default, the single-item workflow is enabled:
If you click on the portal link as indicated above, it will direct you to the portal, which looks like as shown below:
This is by default, and this allows customers to submit one single item at a time; however, customers are free to submit other items by going through the workflow or the journey again for return/ exchange of other items. There is a "return/ exchange more" link at the end of the journey which, when clicked, customers can continue the session to return/ exchange next item without having to reenter credentials.
2. To switch to multi-item workflow, toggle the button as shown:
Once you have switched to the multi-item return flow, click on the portal link. It will look something like this:
3. The return portal URL is different for both the flows. Upon toggle, the link to the portal also changes. You have to make sure that the link is updated on your website as well once you have toggled the flow
